Abstract:
The present invention relates to kartogenin-conjugated chitosan particles with an improved extended release property and biocompatibility. Effects of increases in biocompatibility, chondrogenic differentiation efficiency and staying time in the joints were confirmed by using kartogenin-chitosan microparticles or kartogenin-chitosan nanoparticles of the present invention, and thus targeted treatment, in the prevention or treatment of bone diseases, is enabled through a more fundamental approach.
