Abstract:
Disclosed is a knitting needle (1). The knitting needle (1) comprises: a needle hook (11), a needle latch (12), a needle handle (13) provided with a first loop transfer part (15), and a reed (14) provided with a second loop transfer part (143), wherein the front part of the reed is bent outwards to form a protrusion (141), and the rear part of the reed is connected to a groove bottom surface (1331) of a groove (133) to form a connecting end; a deformation surface (142) and the protrusion (141) are not exposed from the groove (133), or the part exposed from the groove (133) is elastically pressed into the groove (133) by a needle groove, or the part exposed from the groove (133) is located in a recessed groove provided in a corresponding side of the needle groove; and the deformation surface (142) generates elastic deformation to drive the protrusion (141) to expand outwards, such that loops hung on the first loop transfer part (15) and the second loop transfer part (143) are expanded, and the deformation surface (142) and the protrusion (141) are sunk into the groove (133) in a natural state or when being pressed by the needle groove, such that the overall width of the knitting needle (1) is small, and more knitting needles (1) can be placed on a needle plate in a transverse direction, so as to adapt to high-density knitting of a transverse knitting machine, and the parts, exposed from the groove (133), of the deformation surface (142) and the protrusion (141) can also be placed in the recessed groove provided in the corresponding sides of the needle groove, so as to meet different knitting requirements.
