Abstract:
A pair of support devices (20) designed to be attached to a conventional ladder (10) having hollow rungs (12) to support the ladder against the roof (30) of a building, thereby preventing the ladder from contacting gutters, eaves, and windows. Each support device comprises a V-shaped resilient member (21) having a tube (25) on each end (24). In use, the tubes on one V-shaped member are inserted into one side of the ladder rungs and the tubes on the other V-shaped member are inserted into the other side of the same ladder rungs such that both V-shaped members can engage the building roof to support the ladder in spaced relation thereto. The support devices are secured to the ladder by frictional engagement, thus no tools are required to attach or detach the devices.
