Abstract:
A lance according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a blowing body formed to extend in one direction; and a passage formed, as a space inside the blowing body, to extend in the extension direction of the blowing body, wherein the passage includes a first region, which is a region of which the diameter gradually decreases from one end to the other end thereof, and a second region, which is a region of which the diameter gradually increases from one end to the other end thereof, and the first regions and the second regions are alternately and continuously formed. Therefore, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the lance discharges and sprays gas such that an air current of the gas forms a jet stream, and has an increased gas spray pressure (or discharge pressure) and spray speed in comparison to those of a conventional lance. Thus, when the spray pressure and spray speed of the gas are increased, the spreading of the gas from the discharge port is reduced in comparison to that of the conventional lance. Accordingly, when the spray pressure and spray speed of the gas are increased, the penetration depth of oxygen into molten steel is increased.
