Abstract:
This landing jamb for an elevator has a pair of vertical frames and an upper frame. The pair of vertical frames are arranged on the left and right sides of a doorway to define the width of the doorway. The upper frame is disposed on the upper side of the doorway and connects the upper portions of the pair of vertical frames to define the height of the doorway. A frame body, which is at least one of the pair of vertical frames and the upper frame, has an iron frame body and an iron closing member. The closing member has a closing portion that extends in the longitudinal direction of the frame body. The closing portion extends from the frame body toward the outside of the doorway to a position before a wall base member. The closing portion and a board are joined by a first joining member and the landing-side side surface of the closing portion and the hoistway-side side surface of the board are brought into contact with each other, so that the closing member closes the gap between the board and the frame body.
