The present invention provides a laser apparatus for skin treatment, the apparatus comprising: a laser generation unit that generates a single pulse or a plurality of pulses and includes a diode laser, which generates a pulse having a pulse width that can be varied between 100 pico-seconds (ps) and 2000 pico-seconds (ps) by means of a dedicated driver having a rising time of 100 pico-seconds (ps) or less, and a pulse width adjustment unit that adjusts the width of the pulse generated from the diode laser; and a laser amplification unit which includes a pumping lamp and a single rod-shaped amplification medium or a plurality of same for absorbing optical energy from the pumping lamp. In the laser amplification unit, the pulse received from the laser generation unit is gradually amplified while passing through the single amplification medium or at least one of the plurality of amplification media several times from the outside to the inside. Thus, the width of the pulse generated in the laser generation unit can be conveniently adjusted, and the pulse can be easily amplified in the laser amplification unit.
