Abstract:
This laser light irradiation system (1) irradiates a laser light onto a stone (S) present inside the body, thereby fragmenting the stone (S) in a liquid, and comprises a laser fiber (3) having a fiber emission end (3a) for emitting the laser light, and a laser control device (5) for controlling the frequency of the laser light emitted from the fiber emission end (3a). The laser control device (5) switches between a first laser light generating a water flow drawing the stone (S) toward the fiber emission end (3a) within a given range from the fiber emission end (3a), and a second laser light generating a water flow stirring the stone (S), the second laser light being emitted before and/or after the timing of the first laser light emission.
