Description:
Title: Lasting insole that is shaped or provided with heel with internal cavity.

Field of Invention

The present invention relates to the footwear sector and more specifically concerns a lasting insole that is shaped or provided with a heel with internal cavity, which can also be pre-moulded, able to contain an insert with antishock effect for lasted or moccasin type shoes. Background One of the main objectives of footwear manufacturers has always been to improve the comfort of users of their products in order to make their use and ambulation less tiring.

Though this objective has been achieved for sport or leisure shoes by moulding special cavities in outsoles made of PVC, rubber, polyurethane or other materials in which to house shock absorbing or, in any case, elastic material, it has been more difficult to achieve the said objective for lasted or moccasin type shoes, due to their particular type of manufacture and also because the materials with which their outsoles are normally made are hide or natural materials that are not subject to moulding processes. For lasted shoes, the registering company is the owner of international patent application No. PCT/IT2007/000028 of 15 January 2007 claiming the priority of national patent application No. MC2006 AOOOO 10 of 20 January 2006 that, after receiving a positive research report issued on 2 May 2007 by the competent International Authority, is currently at the National extensions application stage. The said patent, having the title " Manufacturing system for assembled shoe with shock-absorbing insert in the heel", describes and claims the process for making a lasted shoe or a moccasin incorporating a shock absorbing or antishock insert placed in a special cavity made around a sort of heel joining to the heel element made on the last of the shoe.

According to the system of the patent referred to above, the heel is made by manual insertion, around the sort or last of heel made on the last of the shoe, of a special rigid horseshoe-shaped frame to then be closed on the tread side of the heel by a bottom base so as to create a cavity inside it in which to house the shock absorbing or anti-shock insert once the last has been removed. Disclosure of invention

It is an object of the present invention to provide the user with a lasting insole that is shaped or provided with a heel with internal cavity, which can also be pre-moulded, able to contain an insert with anti-shock effect for lasted or moccasin type shoes so as to simplify the manufacturing process as described and claimed in PCT/IT2007/000028, by eliminating the stage of manual insertion of the special rigid horseshoe-shaped frame and of its closing. It is another object of the present invention to provide the user with a lasting insole provided with a heel with internal cavity, which can also be pre- moulded, able to contain an insert with anti-shock effect so as to be directly lasted on any last for lasted or moccasin type shoes.

It is another object of the present invention to lower production costs for lasted or moccasin type shoes with similar characteristics and, in any case, to obtain a lasted shoe that is lighter than those made with the production process described and claimed in PCT/IT2007/000028. It is another object of the present invention to make use and ambulation easier for the user, especially if suffering from fasciitis or vascular problems. It is another object of the present invention to avoid rigid support of the heel so preventing micro-traumas to the user's spine.

These and other objects are obtained by the invention that is the subject of the present application that concerns a lasting insole for lasted or moccasin type shoes that is shaped or provided with a heel with internal cavity, which can also be pre-moulded, so as to simplify the manufacturing process claimed in

PCT/IT2007/000028 for the elimination of the manual lasting stages of the horseshoe-shaped half crown and of the application of the bottom base necessary for obtaining the internal cavity of the heel in which to house a shock absorbing or anti-shock insert, or alternatively, to allow the lasting of a lasted or moccasin type shoe provided with an anti-shock or shock absorbing insert without having recourse to the type of last as claimed in

PCT/IT2007/000028.

Detailed description Further characteristics and advantages of the invention will become more readily apparent from the description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment of the present application, illustrated by way of non-limiting example in the drawing units, in which:

Fig. 1 shows the lasting insole (1) provided with a heel with internal cavity, which can also be pre-moulded, in which to house the shock absorbing or anti-shock insert;

Fig. 2 shows the lasting insole (I/a) shaped on the shape line of the sort or last of heel of the last as claimed in PC17IT2007/000028;

Figures 3/a to 3/e show the installation onto a common last (8) of the lasting insole (1) preferably pre-moulded and provided with a heel (2) with internal cavity (3). Figures 4/a to 4/e show the installation onto a last (9) as claimed in PCT/IT2007/000028 of the shaped lasting insole (I/a). In figures 3/a to 3/e and 4/a to 4/e, even though the said patent must be considered a product patent and for the sole purpose of better understanding the inventive concept of the present invention, it was considered necessary to describe the manufacturing stages of a lasted or moccasin type of shoe using the preferably pre-moulded lasting insole (1) provided with a heel (2) with the internal cavity (3) as shown in fig. 1 or, alternatively, the lasting insole, also preferably pre-moulded and shaped (I/a) according to the line and the depth (11) of the sort or last of heel (10) of the last (9) as claimed in PCT/IT2007/000028.

Fig. (3/a) shows a common last (8) to which is glued or applied the lasting insole (1) preferably pre-moulded and provided with a heel (2) with internal cavity (3) so that the edges of the lasted upper (not shown in the drawing) on the last (8) will cover the outer sides of the lasting insole (1) around the whole of its perimeter to fix the two semi-finished parts of the shoe. The lasting insole (1) with the upper is then glued or nailed to an outsole (4), as per fig. (3/d), provided with heel (5) with an internal cavity (6) in which is inserted the heel (2) of the lasting insole (1) in the internal cavity (3) of which will be housed the anti-shock element that will then be covered with an insole (7).

Figures 4/a to 4/e show the manufacturing sequence of the shaped lasting insole (I/a) on the last (9) as described and claimed in PCT7IT2007/000028 at which position of the sort or last of heel (10) of the last (9) the shaped lasting insole (I/a) assumes a shape according to the line and the depth (11) of the said element (10) so that during gluing and lasting of the upper, the sort or last of heel (10) of the last (9) corresponds perfectly with the line and the depth (11) of the shaped lasting insole (I/a) to then be inserted in the internal cavity (6) of the heel (5) of the outsole (4) so that the shape of the cavity (11) obtained at the position of the heel (5) allows insertion of the anti-shock element.

The patent so conceived is susceptible of numerous modifications and versions, all of which fall within the scope of the inventive concept; furthermore, the materials and the elements of the invention as described and illustrated in the attached drawing and claimed below, can be of any type according to requirements.
