Abstract:
A laundry dryer (100) comprises a water tub (2), a rotary drum (3), an illuminating light source (21), and control means. The rotary drum (3) is rotatably supported inside the water tub (2). The illuminating light source (21) is used for illuminating the inside of the rotary drum (3) with light containing ultraviolet radiation. The control means controls the illuminating light source (21) so as to illuminate the inside of the rotary drum (3) with light containing ultraviolet radiation after the drying step.
