Abstract:
This layered body includes a first base material layer, a first liquid crystal cured layer, an adhesive layer, a second liquid crystal cured layer, and a second base material layer in this order. The first liquid crystal cured layer and the second liquid crystal cured layer each include an alignment layer and a layer that includes a cured product of a polymerizable liquid crystal compound. The piercing elastic modulus of each of the first liquid crystal cured layer and the second liquid crystal cured layer is calculated by formula (1): piercing elastic modulus (g/mm)=F (g) / S (mm) is not more than 50 g/mm, where a distortion quantity S (mm) represents a displacement quantity that results from deflection in a piercing direction of a film for forming each of the first liquid crystal cured layer and the second liquid crystal cured layer and that is measured by using a measurement sample obtained by sticking the film to a cardboard having glue provided thereto and having a center part cut therefrom in the form of a 30 mm × 30 mm square and perpendicularly piercing a surface of the film at a rate of 0.33 cm/second with a needle having a tip diameter of 1 mm φ 0.5R to generate breakage, and F (g) represents stress applied to the film. The first base material layer and the second base material layer can be released from the first liquid crystal cured layer and the second liquid crystal cured layer, respectively. When the base material layer to be released earlier, of the first base material layer and the second base material layer, is defined as a first release layer and the base material layer to be released later is defined as a second release layer, the release force during release of the first release layer is greater than the release force during release of the second release layer, the thickness the alignment layer included in the first liquid crystal cured layer is less than the thickness of the alignment layer included in the second liquid crystal cured layer, and tensile elastic modulus of this optical layered body obtained by releasing the first base material layer and the second base material layer from the layered body is not more than 1,000 N/mm2.
