The present invention reduces an operation force without an increase in size.　This lever-type connector (F) comprises: a first lever (18) rotating about a first shaft (14); a second lever (24) rotating about a second shaft (27); and a cam groove (32) interlocked with the rotation of the second lever (24). The first lever (18) has a guide section (22) extending from an operation part (20) toward the first shaft (14), and the second lever (24) has a connection section (28) that is connected to the first lever (18) so as to be relatively displaceable along the guide section (22). Both the levers (18, 24) are interlocked and rotate between an initial position, at which fitting of a housing (10) and a counterpart housing (40) is started, and a fitting position at which the fitting of the housing (10) and the counterpart housing (40) is completed. When a virtual line (V) passing through the second shaft (27) and the connection section (28) is set while the second lever (24) is in the initial position, the first shaft (14) is positioned closer to the fitting position than the virtual line (V).
