Abstract:
Provided is a light-emission device which is low-profile and has excellent light emission performance. The light-emission device includes a plurality of first light-emission units, a first light-guide plate, a plurality of second light-emission units, and a second light-guide plate. The first light-emission units are arranged in a first direction and emit first light. The first light-guide plate extends along the first direction, includes a first surface and a first end surface facing the first light-emission units, and guides a portion of the first light, which entered from the first end surface, along a second direction moving away from the first end surface and projects such light from the first surface. The second light-emission units are arranged along a second direction and emit second light. The second light-guide plate extends along the second direction, includes a second surface and a second end surface facing the second light-emission units, and guides a portion of the second light, which entered from the second end surface, along the first direction and projects such light from the second surface. The first light guide plate and the second light guide plate are stacked so that the first surface and the second surface are mutually superimposed.
