Abstract:

This light emitting device comprises: a substrate having a rectangular plan shape; at least one light emitting element mounted to the substrate; a dam resin that has a frame-like plan shape, is disposed on the substrate so as to surround the light emitting element, and has inclined surfaces that increase in height as the distance from the light emitting element increases; and a sealing resin that is disposed in the region surrounded by the dam resin and seals the light emitting element. The dam resin has a protruding part that protrudes and extends from at least one side to the opposite side.
