Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a light receiving and emitting element with exceptional light detection accuracy. [Solution] In the present invention, a light receiving and emitting element (1) is provided with a substrate (3) comprising a semiconductor material of one conductivity type, a light-emitting diode (5) disposed on one principal face (3a) of the substrate (3), a photodiode (7) disposed on the principal face (3a) of the substrate (3) and separated from the light-emitting diode (5), and an interposing section (19) of the opposite conductivity type disposed connected to a portion in which a region where the light-emitting diode (5) of the principal face (3a) of the substrate (3) is arranged and a region where the photodiode (7) is arranged face each other.
