Abstract:
This light source distribution element for a headlight device comprises: an incidence part (21) having an incidence surface (21a) on which light from a light source 1 impinges, the incidence part (21) also having a first joining surface (21b) and a second joining surface (21c) that are positioned along one direction in a plane orthogonal to the optical axis of the light source (1); a first emission part (22) having a first emission surface (22a) from which light is emitted; a second emission part (23) having a second emission surface (23a) from which light is emitted, the second emission surface (23a) being positioned in a different position than the first emission surface (22a) of the first emission part (22) in the one direction and in another direction orthogonal to the one direction in the plane orthogonal to the optical axis of the light source 1; a first light-guiding part (24) that is positioned between the first emission part (22) and the first joining surface (21b) of the incidence part (21) and that guides light from the joining surface (21b) of the incidence part (21) to the first emission part (22); and a second light-guiding part (25) that is positioned between the second emission part (23) and the second joining surface (21c) of the incidence part (21), that has a first reflecting surface (25a) formed on one side surface among side surfaces facing the other direction and a second reflecting surface (26a) formed on the other side surface among the side surfaces facing the other direction, and that guides light from the second joining surface (21c) of the incidence part (21), upon reflection by the first reflecting surface (25a) and the second reflecting surface (26a), to the second emission part (23).
