Abstract:
A light spot display method, an electronic device, and a computer readable storage medium. The method comprises: obtaining a press area corresponding to a press operation after the press operation in a fingerprint detection region is detected; if the press area is larger than or equal to a first threshold and smaller than a second threshold, generating a first type of fingerprint event; and further determining, in view of a light intensity level of an environment where the electronic device is located, whether to intercept the first type of fingerprint event. If the ambient light is a first light intensity level, it is indicated that the display of a light spot at this time may generate light spot light leakage to harm human eyes, and therefore, the first type of fingerprint event is intercepted, i.e., not starting the light spot display process. According to the method, when it is determined, according to the press area and the ambient light intensity, that this press operation may generate light spot light leakage to harm the human eyes, the fingerprint event is directly intercepted, i.e., not displaying the light spot, so as to avoid the situation that light spot light leakage harms the human eyes in a dark environment.
