Abstract:
The invention is a lighting assembly (1) mountable to a base surface (S) and comprising a support body (2) and at least one optical group (3) engaged with the support body (2). Said optical group (3) comprises: a light source (30) consisting of a line of LEDs extending along an LED axis (L-L); a reflector device (31) comprising at least one fixing element (311) which is integrally engageable with the support body (2) and a reflector surface (312) which extends planarly over a reflection plane (Y) and reflects the light emitted by the light source (30). Each optical group (3) is mountable to the support body (2) in a first operating configuration, in which the light source (30) is proximal to the base surface (S) and the reflector surface (312) orients and reflects the light towards the base surface (S), and in a second operating configuration, in which the light source (30) is distal and the reflector surface (312) orients and reflects the light produced in a direction opposite to the base surface (S).

Claims:
CLAIMS

1. A lighting assembly (1), preferably for outdoors, mountable to a base surface (S), which extends substantially parallel to a vertical axis (V-V), so as to identify a first side (II) and a second side (12), wherein the lighting assembly (1) comprises: a) a support body (2), engageable with the base surface (S); b) at least one optical group (3) engaged with the support body (2) to illuminate the first side (II) or the second side (12), wherein the optical group (3) comprises: a light source (30) consisting of a line of LEDs extending along an LED axis (L-L) which lies on an imaginary plane substantially parallel to the base surface (S);

- a reflector device (31) comprising at least one fixing element (311) firmly engageable with the support body (2) and a reflector surface (312) which extends planarly over a reflection plane (Y) and reflects the light emitted by the light source (30); wherein the optical group (3) is mountable to the support body (2) in a first operating configuration, in which the light source (30) is proximal to the base surface (S) and the reflector surface (312) has the reflection plane (Y) which orients and reflects the light produced by the light source (30) towards the base surface (S), and in a second operating configuration, in which the light source (30) is distal from the base surface (S) and the reflector surface (312) has the reflection plane (Y) which orients and reflects the light produced by the light source (30) in a direction opposite to the base surface (S).

2. Lighting assembly (1) according to claim 1, wherein the reflection plane (Y) is planar and inclined with respect to an imaginary plane orthogonal to the base surface (S), thus identifying a tapered reflection region distancing itself from the light source (30).

3. Lighting assembly (1) according to claim 1, wherein the reflection plane (Y) is curved having a concavity facing the light source (30).

4. Lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the at least one fixing element (311) extends substantially orthogonally to the reflector surface (312) and is fixable to the support body (2) by means of fixing means (35), e.g. screws.

5. Lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the reflector device (31) is a metal component. 6. Lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the support body (2) comprises a base element (20) directly engageable with the base surface (S) and comprises a housing element (21) extending substantially orthogonally to the base element (20), wherein the lighting assembly (1) comprises an electronic group (6) electrically connected to the light source (30) to switch it on or off, wherein said electronic group (6) is housed in said housing element (21). 7 . Lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the support body (2) comprises a base element (20) directly engageable with the base surface (S), wherein with the optical group (3) configured in the first operating configuration, the light source (30) is mounted to said base element (20), and wherein the support body (2) further comprises an outer element (22) which is distal from the base element (20), wherein with the optical group (3) configured in the second operating configuration, the light source (30) is mounted to said outer element (22).

8. Lighting assembly (1) according to claims 6 and 7, wherein the outer element (22) is mounted at one end of the housing element (21).

Lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising two optical groups (3), wherein the first optical group (3) is suitable to illuminate the first side (II) and wherein the second optical group (3) is suitable to illuminate the second side (12). 10. Lighting assembly (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a box-like structure (4) comprising an open end (41) defined by a structure edge (410), wherein said structure edge (410) is engageable with the support body (2) and houses at least one optical group (3), wherein the box-like structure (4) comprises at least one transparent lighting wall (40) facing the reflector surface (312) of an optical group (3).

11. Lighting assembly (1) according to claim 10, wherein the box-like structure (4) sealingly engages the support body (2) with the structure edge (41).

12. Lighting assembly (1) according to claim 10 or claim 11, comprising a cover frame (5) mountable to the box like structure (4), wherein said cover frame (5) covers the box-like structure (4) except for the transparent lighting wall (40).

13. Lighting assembly (1) according to claim 12, wherein the cover frame (5) is insertable onto the box-like structure (4) by means of an axial threading operation in a direction orthogonal to the base surface (S), and is fixable to the support body (2) or the box-like structure (4) .

Description:
"LIGHTING ASSEMBLY"

DESCRIPTION

[0001]The present invention relates to a lighting assembly. [0002]Preferably, said lighting assembly is of the type for outdoor spaces. In particular, in the present discussion, the term outdoor spaces means a space being completely outdoors, i.e., completely exposed to weathering, e.g., a garden, but also a partially outdoor space, such as balconies or external porches, in any case exposed to weathering although partially sheltered by canopy elements.

[0003]The lighting field is characterized by huge innovation efforts, from both the aesthetic point of view, with the constant research for new shapes, and the technical and functional point of view, often to support the new aesthetic trends indeed.

[0004]In particular, one of the predominant trends is to have lighting devices with distinctive shapes offering however an effective lighting at the same time.

[0005]In other words, the market requires that the lighting devices, in addition to having aesthetic features of particular value and workmanship, are suitable for producing an effective lighting possibly localized, where necessary. [0006]In further detail, the market requires that the lighting devices, in particular wall-mounted, i.e., which are mountable on a preferably vertical base surface, are suitable for emitting a high amount of light as localized as possible.

[0007]At the same time, the lighting assembly should not have a complex shape and should be simple to mount, remaining as versatile and modular as possible.

[0008]Furthermore, at the same time, the lighting assembly must not blind a person observing it directly.

[0009]It is an object of the present invention to provide a lighting assembly that effectively meets all of the above needs.

[0010]Such an object is achieved by a lighting assembly provided according to claim 1.

[0011]The features and advantages of the lighting assembly according to the present invention will become apparent from the following description, given by way of non limiting example, according to the accompanying drawings, in which:

[0023]With reference to the accompanying drawings, a lighting assembly according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention is indicated by reference numeral 1 as a whole.

[0024]According to a preferred embodiment variant, the lighting assembly 1 is of the type for outdoor spaces. In particular, the components described below as well as the means to mutually engage some of them are specifically suitable for resisting the weathering action.

[0025]According to the present invention, the lighting assembly 1 is mountable to a base surface S extending substantially parallel to a vertical axis V-V. In other words, the lighting assembly 1 is mountable to a wall. In further other words, the lighting assembly 1 is suitable for protruding from said base surface S in a cantilevered manner.

[0026]The lighting assembly 1 identifies a first side II and a second side 12. [0027]Preferably, the first side II corresponds with the upper side, while the second side 12 corresponds with the lower side or vice versa.

[0028]In other embodiment and installation variants of the lighting assembly 1, the first side II corresponds to the right side, while the second side 12 corresponds to the left side or vice versa.

[0029]According to the present invention, the lighting assembly 1 comprises a support body 2 engageable with the base surface S. In particular, said support body 2 is fixable to the wall, e.g., by means of screws and/or dowels.

[0030]According to the present invention, said support body 2 is suitable for supporting at the base surface S the components belonging to the lighting assembly 1 and are extensively described below.

[0031]Preferably, said support body 2 comprises a base element 20 directly engageable with the base surface S. [0032]According to a preferred embodiment, said base element 20 is a metal component. Preferably, the base element 20 is a metal component obtained by means of stamping operations or from a machined laminar component. [0033]Furthermore, said support body 2 comprises a housing element 21, which extends substantially orthogonally to the base element 20. [0034]According to a preferred embodiment, the housing element 21 is a metal component. Preferably, the metal element 21 is a metal component obtained from a machined laminar component.

[0035]Preferably, the support body 2 thus has a substantially "L" or "T" cross-section, having the base element 20 on the base surface S and the housing element 21 extending in a cantilevered manner from the base element 20.

[0036]Additionally, according to a preferred embodiment, the support body 2 comprises an outer element 22 distal from the base element 20.

[0037]According to a preferred embodiment, the outer element 22 is also a metal component. Preferably, the outer element 22 is a metal component obtained from a machined laminar component.

[0038]Preferably, the outer element 22 is mounted to the housing element 21 by means of screw means.

[0039]Therefore, the support body 2 preferably has a substantially "H" section having the base element 20 on the base surface S, the housing element 21 protruding from the base element 20, and the outer element 22 mounted at the end of the base element 20.

[0040]According to the present invention, the lighting assembly 1 further comprises at least one optical group 3 engaged with the support body 2 so as to illuminate the first side II or the second side 12.

[0041]The optical group 3 comprises a light source 30 consisting of a line of LEDs extending along a LED axis

L-L. [0042]Preferably, said light source 30, and thus said LED axis L-L, lies on an imaginary plane substantially parallel to said base surface S or substantially slightly inclined with respect to said base surface S. For example, in a preferred embodiment, said imaginary plane is inclined with respect to said base surface S by about 15 degrees.

[0043]Furthermore, the optical group 3 comprises a reflector device 31 suitable for reflecting the light emitted by the light source 30. [0044]Said reflector device 31 comprises at least one fixing element 311 integrally engageable with the support body 2.

[0045]Preferably, the fixing element 311 consists in a strip with a slot being fixable by screw means. [0046]Preferably, each reflector device 31 comprises two axially spaced apart fixing elements 311.

[0047]Furthermore, according to the present invention, the reflector device 31 comprises a reflector surface 312, which extends planarly in a reflection plane Y and reflects the light emitted from the light source 30.

[0083]Advantageously, the lighting assembly is highly versatile as it is configurable by the installer in a multitude of positions and configurations depending on needs. Advantageously, the lighting assembly is mountable to produce and direct light in a localized manner in the desired direction.

[0084]Advantageously, the lighting assembly has a shape which is simple and especially requires simple and intuitive assembly and disassembly operations.

[0085]Advantageously, the lighting assembly, when directly observed, is suitable for solving the blinding issue.

[0086]Advantageously, the lighting assembly is highly suitable for being positioned in an outdoor space being suitable for resisting the weathering action.

[0087]Advantageously, the use of gaskets is completely eliminated or minimized; indeed, in a preferred embodiment, a single gasket is required. [0088]It is apparent that, in order to meet contingent needs, those skilled in the art may make changes to the lighting assembly described above, all of which are contained within the scope of protection as defined in the following claims.
