Abstract:
This lighting device includes a light source and a light guide member, wherein: the light guide member includes a light guide plate having a first main surface and a second main surface on the opposite side to the first main surface, and a first optical laminated body which is disposed on the first main surface side or the second main surface side and which includes a direction converting layer; the direction converting layer includes a plurality of internal spaces having a first inclined surface for orienting light in an emission direction by means of total internal reflection; and the light guide plate has a side surface substantially perpendicular to the first main surface, and an inclined side surface which causes light propagating through the light guide plate to be reflected in the emission direction.
