Abstract:
Provided is a linear drive device wherein occurrences of clattering in a slider can be reliably prevented. The present invention is a linear drive device having: a lead screw (10) and a guide shaft (11); a base (1) having a travel surface (1d) parallel to these; and a slider (20) that has a guide hole (29) through which the guide shaft passes and a nut (28) threaded onto the lead screw and that moves linearly in the direction of an axial line by rotation of the lead screw. In the linear drive device, the slider is provided with: a first pressure applying spring (35) for applying rotary biasing force (RA, RB) along a circumferential direction having the lead screw as a center; and steel balls (24) that are disposed between the travel surface and the slider so as to freely travel and that transfer the rotary biasing force applied to the slider to the travel surface and receive reaction force.
