The linear light-emitting device (2) has a substrate extending while curving in a predetermined direction, multiple light-emitting elements arranged side by side in the predetermined direction on the substrate, and an encapsulating member encapsulating the multiple light-emitting elements. The brightness at a specific portion of the substrate is higher than the brightness at the other portions of the substrate.
