Abstract:
A linear solenoid drive apparatus is provided with a reference voltage output circuit 40 which outputs a reference voltage Vref having a temperature characteristic similar to a temperature characteristic of an output voltage Vopa of an operational amplifier 34 which amplifies and outputs a voltage across a sense resistor 32. A drive current flowing through a linear solenoid 60 is calculated from the output voltage Vopa with the temperature characteristic corrected on the basis of the reference voltage Vref, and a drive command is generated and output to a drive circuit 20 in such a way that the calculated drive current becomes a predetermined target current, thereby performing switching control. In this manner, even when the output voltage Vopa varies under the influence of heat generated by the switching of first and second transistors 22, 24, the drive current flowing through the linear solenoid 60 can be accurately sensed, making it possible to improve the controllability of feedback control.
