Abstract:
This liquid coating method has a coating step in which, when coating the surface of an article constituting material (10) with a liquid (11) by using a pair of rolls (2, 3), the liquid (11) is transferred onto the surface of the article constituting material (10) by supplying and feeding the article constituting material (10) between the pair of rolls (2, 3) in a state in which the liquid (11) is attached to a coating plate (21) that forms the outer circumferential surface of a coating roll (2). The coating plate (21) cannot be impregnated with the liquid (11). In the coating step, while the article constituting material (10) that is being fed between the pair of rolls (2, 3) is temporarily pressurized and compressed by the pair of rolls (2, 3), the liquid (11) attached to the coating plate (21) is brought into contact with the surface of the compressed portion of the article constituting material. The thickness of the article constituting material (10) after being relieved of the pressure is greater than the thickness of the article constituting material (10) when pressurized and compressed.
