Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a liquid crystal alignment agent which can produce a liquid crystal alignment film having the required functions, including adhesion, and having favorable workability, and to provide a liquid crystal alignment film and liquid crystal display element produced using said liquid crystal alignment agent. The liquid crystal alignment agent includes an organic solvent, and a polymer represented by general formula [I] and obtained from diamine components including at least one type of first diamine that is represented by formula DA-1 and at least type of one second diamine that is represented by formula SC-1 and has a side-chain structure selected from the group represented by formulas [S1] to [S3].
