Abstract:
The liquid crystal cell of the present invention is provided with: a TFT substrate 101 having a first dielectric substrate 1 and a plurality of TFTs and patch electrodes supported by the first dielectric substrate 1; a slot substrate 201 having a second dielectric substrate 51 and slot electrodes including a plurality of slots supported on the second dielectric substrate 51; a liquid crystal layer LC interposed between the TFT substrate 101 and the slot substrate 201 which are disposed such that the patch electrode side and the slot electrode side face each other; and a sealing material S that is interposed between the TFT substrate 101 and the slot substrate 201 so as to surround the liquid crystal layer LC. The liquid crystal layer LC includes a liquid crystal compound containing an isothiocyanate group, and the sealing material S includes an ene-thiol compound obtained by binding an enic compound and a thiol compound using radicals.
