Abstract:

The present invention provides: a liquid-repelling agent composition which can produce a processed article having excellent liquid-repelling properties, exhibits excellent stability and does not cause problems such as odors attributable to ammonia and organic amines; a method for producing same; and a method for producing an oil-resistant paper. This liquid-repelling agent composition is such that a copolymer (A) has constituent units derived from a monomer (a) represented by the formula RF-Q-X-C(O)C(R)=CH2 (RF is a perfuloroalkyl group having 4-6 carbon atoms, Q is a divalent hydrocarbon group that does not contain a fluorine atom; X is -O- or NH-, and R is a hydrogen atom, a methyl group or a chlorine atom) and constituent units derived from a monomer (b) having an anionic group, an alkali metal ion and an aqueous medium; the mass average molecular weight of the copolymer (A) is 84,000 or less; at least some of the counter ions of the anionic groups are alkali metal ions; and the molar ratio of alkali metal ions relative to anionic groups in the liquid-repelling agent composition is 0.6-1.29.
