Abstract:
Provided is a lithium secondary battery which comprises a hydrofluoric acid-containing electrolyte solution, an electrode and a conductive assistant, and wherein (1) the conductive assistant contains a substance that is poorly soluble in the hydrofluoric acid-containing electrolyte solution, and the substance is composed of one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of transition metal compounds, and (2) the conductive assistant contains a substance that is soluble in the hydrofluoric acid-containing electrolyte solution, and the total mass of metals in the substance is from 0% by mass to 0.003% by mass (inclusive) relative to the total mass of the electrode. Also provided is a conductive assistant which contains a substance that is poorly soluble in a hydrofluoric acid-containing electrolyte solution and a substance that consumes hydrofluoric acid, and does not substantially contain a substance that is soluble in the hydrofluoric acid-containing electrolyte solution or contains a substance that is soluble in the hydrofluoric acid-containing electrolyte solution in an amount of 1% by mass or less relative to the whole mass.
