Abstract:
Provided is a lithium secondary battery comprising: a cathode comprising a cathode active material; an anode comprising an anode active material; and a first functional layer between the cathode and the anode, wherein the first functional layer comprises plate-like polyolefin particles having an average diameter of 1-8 μm, and the cathode comprises a cathode active material layer comprising a cathode active material and a flame retardant, or has a layered structure comprising a cathode active material layer and a second functional layer, which comprises a flame retardant.
