Abstract:
A local wavelength defragmentation device that performs wavelength defragmentation on one or more wavelength paths that pass through a target link in an optical transmission network, wherein the local wavelength defragmentation device comprises: a reallocation order determination unit that calculates the remaining time from the present until destruction for each of one or more wavelength paths, and determines the order of reallocation of the wavelengths for the one or more wavelength paths on the basis of the remaining time; and a reallocation number determination unit that calculates the degree of use for each of one or more reallocatable wavelength numbers for each of the one or more wavelength paths according to the said order, and determines, as a wavelength to be reallocated, the wavelength of the wavelength number having the highest degree of use.
