A lockable water tank washing machine housing body, comprising a housing body forming a washing space, the housing body comprising a water tank body (1) and a cover board (2), a lock (6) being disposed at the other end of the water tank body (1) and the cover board (2), the lock (6) comprising a lock lever and a lock base (62), the lock lever able to be inserted into the lock base (62) to lock the water tank body (1) and the cover board (2), a stopper part (621) at the bottom of the lock base (62) being lower than the lock lever and being a certain vertical distance from the lock lever. During the process of washing, if the user discovers a mistake, and attempts to open the cover board (2), after being opened this corresponding distance, the cover board will stop, and the formed water vapour will overflow from the gap between the cover board (2) and the water tank body (1), reminding the user that an incorrect operation is being performed and that the cover board (2) should be returned to the original position; thus, the safe usage of the washing machine is ensured.
