Abstract:
Disclosed is a logic element using spin-orbit torque. Two magnetic tunnel junctions have mutually opposite stator magnetizations. The direction of current flowing through a nonmagnetic metal layer acts as an input, and the resistance state of the magnetic tunnel junctions is determined by an input program current. Various logic elements are implemented by a method of setting the input program current to logic high or logic low.
