Abstract:
Provided is a technique for improving the squareness of long end surfaces of unequal angle steel when hot rolling is performed. A molding roller (11) disposed on the exit side of a hot-finishing rolling machine for unequal leg angle steel is provided. The molding roller (11) comprises a peripheral surface (11A) that comes into contact with an end surface (9A) of a long side (9) of unequal angle steel molded by finishing rolling, and the peripheral surface thereby presses the end surface (9A). The peripheral surface (11A), in contact with the end surface (9A), has an oblique surface shape so as to be able to impart reactive force to the end surface (9A) in the longitudinal direction of the long side (9) of the unequal angle steel so that the end surface (9A) of the long side (9) is press-molded by this peripheral surface.
