Abstract:
The present invention is to provide a luggage bag in accordance with the present invention. The luggage bag is provided with a collapsible enclosure and a frame. The frame is adaptably configured to hold the collapsible enclosure. The frame is having a roller arrangement and a handle for maneuvering the luggage bag. Further, a supporting member is attached with the frame for supporting a base of the collapsible enclosure in a first configuration for carrying luggage, and the supporting member is detached in a second configuration for storing the luggage bag when not in use. Also, a base support is arranged in an inner portion of the base. The base support is secured parallelly on the base of the collapsible enclosure to configure the first configuration and is partially or completely detached from the base to configure the second configuration.

Claims:
We Claim:

1. A luggage bag 100 comprising:

a collapsible enclosure 200; a frame 300 adaptably configured to hold the collapsible enclosure 200, the frame 300 is having a roller arrangement 3 l0a, 3 l0band a handle 320 for manoeuvring the luggage bag 100; wherein a supporting member 110 is attached with the frame 300 for supporting a base 210 of the collapsible enclosure 200 in a first configuration for carrying luggage and the supporting member 110 is detached in a second configuration for storing the luggage bag 100 when not in use; and a base support 120 arranged in an inner portion of the base 210, the base support 120 is secured parallelly on the base 210 of the collapsible enclosure 200 to configure the first configuration and is partially or completely detached from the base 210 to configure the second configuration.

2. The luggage bag 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting member 110 may be a wheel arrangement.

3. The luggage bag 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting member 110 may be projections for holding the collapsible enclosure 200 vertically on the base 210.

4. The luggage bag 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the collapsible enclosure 200 and the frame 300 are integral.

5. The luggage bag 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the frame 300 is provided with slots to attach the supporting member 1 10.

6. The luggage bag 100 as claimed in claim 1, wherein the supporting member 110 is secured to the collapsible enclosure 200 by a fastener 1 12.

7. The luggage bag 100 as claimed in claim 6, wherein the fastener 112 is a hook and loop attached on a bottom portion of the collapsible enclosure 200.

8. The luggage bag 100 as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a side portion of the base support 120 is fixed with the base 210 to facilitate a hinge movement therebetween.

A Luggage Bag for Carrying Articles

Field of the Invention [0001] The present invention relates to a luggage carrier. More particularly, the present invention relates to a luggage bag adapted to carry articles.

Background of the Invention

[0002] Luggage bags are helpful for travellers who carry heavy luggage. Several luggage bags are available in the market which is collapsible and expandable depending on the required storage space for the traveller. These bags may be provided on a frame which may include roller arrangements and telescopic handle for handling the luggage bags while carrying. These luggage bags are permanently fixed on the frame which may add weight to the luggage bags. Further, the roller arrangements in the luggage bags may not provide adequate support as it may not sit comfortably on the floor. Specifically, in an inclined plane, the luggage bags are difficult to handle.

[0003] Therefore, there is a need to provide a luggage bag, which overcomes few or all of the drawbacks of the existing luggage bags.

Objects of the Invention [0004] An object of the present invention is to provide a luggage bag for carrying luggage. [0005] Yet object of the present invention is to provide a luggage bag for carrying luggage in which the luggage bag seats comfortably on the floor even in an elevated position.

[0006] One more object of the present invention is to provide a luggage bag for carrying luggage which is robust in construction.

Summary of the invention

[0007] According to the present invention, there is provided with a luggage bag for carrying luggage. The luggage bag includes a collapsible enclosure and a frame. The collapsible enclosure can be configured in a collapsible configuration and an expandable configuration. The collapsible enclosure is empty when not in use to configure the collapsible configuration, and luggage is filled in the expandable configuration. The collapsible enclosure in the present embodiment is removably connected to the frame so that the user can separate the collapsible enclosure and the frame to use both independently if required. [0008] The frame is adaptably configured to support the collapsible enclosure therewith. The collapsible enclosure and the frame are integral. The frame is having a roller arrangement and a handle. The roller arrangement enables the luggage bag to slide and move from one place to other. The handle is used for manoeuvring the luggage bag. The luggage bag is provided with a supporting member and a base support. The supporting member is attached with the frame for supporting a base of the collapsible enclosure in a first configuration. The first configuration is when the user is using the luggage bag for carrying luggage. The supporting member is secured to the collapsible enclosure by a fastener. Specifically, the supporting member is secured along the plane of the roller arrangement to provide support for the luggage bag.

[0009] The supporting member is provided with at least one extending member which engages with respective slots provided in the frame to attach firmly with the frame. In an embodiment, the supporting member is a wheel arrangement. The wheel arrangement and the roller arrangement enable the luggage bag to move from one place to another. In another embodiment, the supporting member may be projections configured for holding the collapsible enclosure vertically on the base. Further, the supporting member can be detached in a second configuration. The second configuration is when the luggage bag is stored and not in use or is kept idle by the user. [0010] Further, the luggage bag is provided with the base support arranged in an inner portion of the base. The base support is a flap made of a thick sheet which is rigid in nature which provides substantial rigidity to support the base of the collapsible enclosure. Also, the base support expands the utility space in the collapsible enclosure. The base support is secured parallelly on the base of the collapsible enclosure to configure the first configuration. Further, the base support can be partially or completely detachable from the base to configure the second configuration. Brief Description of the Drawings

Detailed Description of the Invention [0019] An embodiment of this invention, illustrating its features, will now be described in detail. The words "comprising, "having, "containing," and "including," and other forms thereof, are intended to be equivalent in meaning and be open ended in that an item or items following any one of these words is not meant to be an exhaustive listing of such item or items, or meant to be limited to only the listed item or items. [0022] Referring to figures 1 and 2, a luggage bag 100 in accordance with the present invention is illustrated. The luggage bag 100 includes a collapsible enclosure 200 and a frame 300. The collapsible enclosure 200 is a bag for carrying luggage. The collapsible enclosure 200 can be configured in a collapsible configuration and an expandable configuration. The collapsible enclosure 200 is empty when not in use to configure the collapsible configuration as shown in figure 1, and luggage is filled in the expandable configuration as shown in figure 2. The collapsible enclosure 200 in the present embodiment is supported by the frame 300and are integral.

[0023] The frame 300 is adaptably configured to support the collapsible enclosure200 therewith. The frame 300 is having a roller arrangement Iike3 l0a, 3 l0band a handle 320. The roller arrangement 3 l0a, 3 l0b enables the luggage bag 100 to slide and move from one place to other. The handle 320 is used for manoeuvring the luggage bag 100. The handle 320 may be a telescopic arrangement (figure 5 and 6) which enable easy manoeuvring of the luggage bag 100 for the user.

[0024] Further, referring to figures3 and 4, the luggage bag 100 is provided with a supporting member 110 and a base support 120. The supporting member 1 10 is attached with the frame 300 for supporting a base 210 of the collapsible enclosure 200 in a first configuration. The first configuration is when the user is using the luggage bag 100 for carrying luggage as shown in figure 2. Specifically, the supporting member 110 is secured along the plane of the roller arrangement 3 l0a, 3 l0b to provide support to the luggage bag 100. In the present embodiment, slots 116a, 116b are provided in the frame 300to facilitate the supporting member 1 10 to attach therewith. The supporting member 110 is secured to the collapsible enclosure 200 by a fastener 112. Specifically, the fastener 112 such as a hook and loop, Velcro or the like is attached on a bottom portion of the collapsible enclosure 200. Similarly, the fastener 112 is also arranged on a portion of the supporting member l lOwhich enables the supporting member 110 to attach to an exterior of the base 210 of the collapsible enclosure 200 as shown in figure 3.

[0025] The supporting member 110 is provided with at least one extending member like 1 l4a, 1 l4bwhich engages with the respective slots 1 l6a, H6bprovided in the frame 300 to attach firmly with the frame 300. In an embodiment, the supporting member 110 is a wheel arrangement 1 lOa, 11 Ob as shown in figures 5 and 6. The wheel arrangement and the roller arrangement 3 l0a, 3 l0benables the luggage bag 100 to move from one place to another. In another embodiment, the supporting member 110 may be projections l lOc, 1 lOdconfigured for holding the collapsible enclosure 200 vertically on the base

210 as shown in figure 7.

[0026] Further, the supporting member 110 can be detached in a second configuration. The second configuration is when the luggage bag 100 is stored and not in use or is kept idle by the user as shown in figure 1. When the luggage bag 100 is not in use, the supporting member 110 can be manually detached from the slots H6a, H6b and the fastener 112. The supporting member 110 can further be placed inside the collapsible enclosure 200 thereby utilising the empty space.

[0027] Further, the luggage bag 100 is provided with the base support 120 arranged in an inner portion of the base 210. The base support 120 is a flap made of a thick sheet which is rigid in nature which provides substantial rigidity to support the base 210 of the collapsible enclosure 200. Also, the base support 120 expands the utility space in the collapsible enclosure 200. The base support 120 is secured parallelly on the base 210 of the collapsible enclosure 200 to configure the first configuration. In the first configuration, the luggage bag 100 is filled with luggage or other articles. [0028] Further, the base supportl20 can be partially or completely detachable from the base 210 to configure the second configuration. Specifically, in an embodiment, the base support 120 is partially removable from the inner base 210 of the collapsible enclosure 200. Specifically, a side portion of the base support 120 is fixed with a side of the base 210 to facilitate a hinge movement therebetween. One surface of the base support 120, facing towards the base 210 is secured with a hook and loop (not shown) attached to an inner portion of the base 210. The surface is attached to the hook and loop to configure the second configuration. In the first configuration, the surface can be detached from the base 210 and can be arranged in vertical on the base 210.

[0029] In another embodiment, the base support 120 is completely detachable. In this embodiment, the base support 120 is attachable to the base 210 by a hook and loop provided on each of the surfaces of the base support 120 and the base 210. The base support 120 can be attached and detached based on the requirement of the user.

[0030] Therefore the advantage of the present invention is to provide a luggage bag 100 for carrying luggage. Further, the luggage bag 100 seats comfortably on the floor even in an elevated position. Also, the luggage bag lOOis robust in construction.
