Abstract:

Provided is a machining cutter for tip dressing, with which machining operations can be carried out efficiently while tightly curling the shavings in a reliable manner to avoid entanglement in the apparatus. A machining plate (4) having a cutting blade part (4b) is attached to a holder (3). A breaker (5) by which shavings discharged during machining of an electrode tip (2) are made to curve in a prescribed direction is attached to the machining plate (4). In a section of the breaker (5) corresponding to the cutting blade part (4b), there is formed a shaving guide surface (5e) extending in the direction of extension of the cutting blade part (4b) and separated from the cutting blade part (4b) by a prescribed gap D.
