Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a magnetic clutch capable of reducing fluctuations in a load acting on a bearing member or the like when the clutch is engaged, and also reducing the generation of vibrations and noise. [Solution] A magnetic clutch 1 includes a hub-side magnet 8 affixed to a clutch hub 32, and a rotating shaft-side magnet 9 affixed to the outer-circumferential surface of one end of the rotating shaft 7 of a driven apparatus, and positioned so as to face the hub-side magnet 8 with a prescribed gap interposed between the hub-side magnet 8 and the rotating shaft-side magnet 9. The hub-side magnet 8 and the rotating shaft-side magnet 9 each comprise a permanent magnet magnetized so as to generate an attractive force that pulls in the direction of the other magnet, and the clutch hub 32 and the one end of the rotating shaft 7 are connected by said attractive forces.
