A magnetic element (100) according to an embodiment comprises: a wiring layer (10) which extends in a first direction (x) and includes a ferromagnetic body; and a nonmagnetic layer (20) which is laminated in a second direction (z), onto the wiring layer. The wiring layer has, in a cross section orthogonal to the first direction, a side surface (11) which is inclined with respect to the second direction. The side surface has one or more bending points (B1) at which an inclination angle with respect to the second direction becomes discontinuous. Across a first bending point, among the bending points, which is spaced apart from the nonmagnetic layer, the inclination angle (θ1) of a first inclined surface (11A) that is far from the nonmagnetic layer is smaller than the inclination angle (θ2) of a second inclined surface (11B) that is close to the nonmagnetic layer.
