Abstract:
This magnetic sensor device comprises a magnet that generates a magnetic field, and a magnetic resistance effect element disposed in a longitudinal direction that is orthogonal to a conveyance direction of an article to be sensed. In the magnetic resistance effect element, a first resistor (31a) and a second resistor (31b) are disposed so that the center of a space in the conveyance direction between the first resistor (31a) and the second resistor (31b) is positioned at a center axis (Cx) of the magnet in the conveyance direction. The magnet applies a magnetic field to the first resistor (31a) and the second resistor (31b), the magnetic field having a conveyance-direction component and a longitudinal-direction component with respect to the article to be sensed. The first resistor (31a) and the second resistor (31b) are disposed so that the gap therebetween widens from one end of the first resistor (31a) and the second resistor (31b) to the other longitudinal-direction end thereof, and at least two sets of first resistors (31a) and second resistors (31b) are disposed so as to have symmetry with respect to a virtual line (Cy') orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the magnet.
