Abstract:
Provided is a magnetism-generating unit with which it is possible to improve precision for detecting a rotation angle. The present invention comprises: a case having a cylinder part that is formed from a non-magnetic body, the cylinder part being configured so that at least one end thereof is opened; and magnetism-generating bodies with which the case is filled in a state where a portion that does not come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder part is formed on the side toward the opened end part of the cylinder part, the magnetism-generating bodies being magnetized in a direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the case According to this configuration, the case is filled with the magnetism-generating bodies in a state where a portion that does not come into contact with the inner peripheral surface of the cylinder part is formed on the side toward the opened end part of the cylinder part. It is therefore possible to maintain precision for detecting a rotation angle.
