Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of this invention is to provide a management and control system for a tidal power generation device that is provided with an openable gate partitioning the interior and the exterior of a bay and that generates power by rotating a water turbine using seawater that flows in and out when the gate is opened. [Solution] A management and control system for a tidal power generation device sets fluctuations in tide level at a prescribed time on the basis of tide level data over time at a prescribed location in the bay where the tidal power generation device is to be installed. The management and control system controls opening and closing the gate so that the water level difference between the tide level and the water level in the bay at the prescribed time according to the opened-closed status of the gate when the tidal power generation device was installed in the prescribed location, and the flow rate of seawater released from the gate, which is calculated on the basis of the gate opened-closed status, the tidal power generation device, and the water level difference, are within a desired range.
