Abstract:

This method for manufacturing a can container (100) includes: fitting, onto a can body (101), a can lid (1) having a disk shaped panel section (21) in which a score line (31) is formed on an outer circumferential edge side, a flange section (23) for screw-fastening to the can body (101), a downwardly protruding annular groove section (22) provided between the panel section (21) and the flange section (23), and a tab (12) that is provided to the panel section (21), breaks the score line (31), and opens the panel section (21) along the score line (31); using a knockout pad (223) to press against a top surface section (21c) of the panel section (21) located radially outward of and above the score line (31); and screwing tight the can body (101) and the can lid (1) while the knockout pad (223) is being pressed against the can lid (1).
