A method is provided which, while preventing crack extension due to wrinkles and while reducing the load during an ear removal step, enables the stable manufacturing of a glass film with resin tape, which is an intermediate product of a glass film. This manufacturing method of a glass film with resin tape involves: a forming step in which an elongate glass film having ears on both edges in the width direction is continuously formed from molten glass, said glass film with ears comprising ears and an effective part formed in the width-direction center of said glass film with ears; an annealing step in which the glass film with ears is annealed; a resin tape forming step in which, near the ears but separated from the ears by a prescribed distance, a resin tape is continuously formed in the length direction of the glass film with ears; and an ear removal step in which, either between the ears and the resin tape or in a prescribed width-direction position within the resin tape, the ears are continuously removed from the glass film with ears, so as to obtain a glass film with resin tape.
