Abstract:
A marine SCR system according to an aspect of the present invention is provided with: a first spray nozzle through which a reducing agent for reducing NOx is sprayed to an exhaust gas; a second spray nozzle through which a reducing agent much greater in amount than that from the first spray nozzle is sprayed to the exhaust gas; a reducing agent supply system that supplies the reducing agent to one of the spray nozzles; a reactor that has a catalyst layer for causing reduction reaction of NOx in the exhaust gas; an operation unit instructing, in a switchable manner, a first operation mode for reducing the NOx emission to a regulation value or lower and a second operation mode for reducing the NOx emission so as to be not more than a lower regulation value; and a control unit that controls the reducing agent supply system so as to supply the reducing agent at a first flowrate to the first spray nozzle when in the first operation mode, and supply the reducing agent at a higher second flowrate to the second spray nozzle when in the second operation mode.
