Abstract:
Provided is a material feed device for a cutting machine in which materials are fed by using a plurality of feed rollers, and the material feed device does not use a rotation transmission mechanism such as a chain and a belt for driving the feed rollers. Under a normal load, the rotation of an output shaft 62 of a reduction gear-equipped motor 6 is transmitted to a feed roller 4 via a drive shaft 5, a sleeve 51, and friction plates 41, 41, whereby a bar material 31 is fed into a cutting machine 1. In the case where an overload acts on the feed roller 4, the feed roller 4 rotates relative to the friction plates 41, 41 due to slippage therebetween, whereby it becomes possible to prevent an overload acting on the output shaft 62 of the reduction gear-equipped motor 6.
