Abstract:
An MCP assembly as a structure for improving the handling properties of a flexible sheet electrode having a mesh area, comprising at least: a conductive upper support member; an MCP unit; an output electrode; a flexible sheet electrode, and a conductive lower support member. The flexible sheet electrode has a mesh area having a plurality of openings provided therein. The present invention is configured such that: the flexible sheet electrode and the lower support member are physically and electrically connected; and the upper support member and the lower support member sandwich the flexible sheet electrode. As a result, the flexible sheet electrode is firmly held inside the MCP assembly and the potential is set, even if the flexible sheet electrode becomes thinner as the ratio of mesh area openings increases.
