Abstract:
Provided is a medical brace manufacturing system which includes a brace model generating system comprising: generating skeleton information of a 3D patient model of the portion of the body on which a brace is to be worn and using the information to generate at least one state coordinate system showing the posture/scale of the 3D patient model; correcting a standard model state coordinate system by using the state coordinate system of the patient model; modifying a brace model defined on the surface of the standard model, according to the correction of the standard model; applying the scale of the patient model to the modified brace model; and generating a 3D brace model by giving thickness to the brace model to which the scale of the patient model has been applied. The state coordinate system comprises multiple scale axes, and inherits the rotation amount of the joints on which they are dependent. The surface of the standard model is separated into regions in which the rotation amount of the related joint is differently inherited. The brace model comprises a design curve having multiple design points, and design point information comprises affiliated region information of the standard model surface.
