Abstract:
In order to prevent a control unit from misrecognizing the present position of an endoscope when the control unit is controlling the operation of a support arm of the endoscope so that the endoscope is located at a position suitable for an operation, this medical support arm is configured to comprise: a support arm for supporting the endoscope; an actuator for driving the support arm; a measurement unit for measuring a load applied to the actuator; a generation unit for generating three-dimensional information on the inside of a body to which the endoscope is inserted; and a correction unit for correcting the three-dimensional information on the basis of the measured load.
