A medical waste treatment system, comprising one crushing device (10), one rotating drum device (20) and one sterilization device (30). The crushing device is used for inputting waste (1) and is used to crush the waste into crushed waste granules (2); the rotating drum device is connected to the crushing device, is provided with a sterilization space (213), and receives the crushed waste granules and inputs same into the sterilization space, the crushed waste granules being dispersed in the sterilization space by means of the rotation of the rotating drum device; the sterilization device is connected to the rotating drum device and releases a sterilizing agent (31) to the rotating drum device, the sterilizing agent being distributed in the sterilization space and being used to contact the crushed waste granules for sterilization, after which the sterilized crushed waste granules are discharged by the rotating drum device. The medical waste treatment system uses a sterilizing agent to sterilize crushed waste granules so as to improve the safety of cleaning and shipping personnel performing cleaning and shipping for the purpose of complying with environmentally-friendly sterilization.
