Abstract:
Provided is a medium processing device comprising a drum, a tape, a movable guide, and a charge eliminating part. The drum is rotatably supported so as to rotate around a rotation axis, and winds a paper sheet-shaped medium around a circumferential side surface. The tape sandwiches and winds the medium between the tape and the circumferential side surface in association with rotation of the drum. The movable guide can move so as to follow the drum diameter of the drum, which varies according to the winding amount of the medium, and opposes the drum so as to guide the medium between the movable guide and the circumferential side surface. The charge eliminating part is provided to the movable guide, abuts an outer surface, of the tape, which is a side separated from the rotation axis of the drum, and discharges an electric charge that has moved from the electrostatically charged tape.
