Abstract:
Provided is a mesh-like fiber-reinforced composite material that has superior expansion/contraction and draping properties, excels in moldability into shapes with curved surfaces, has superior ventilation and prevents heat from being trapped while being lightweight and high-strength, and furthermore is highly rigid and has superior impact resistance. Also provided are a mesh-like knit structural body, a material for molding the mesh-like fiber-reinforced composite material, and a mesh-like fiber-reinforced composite material molded body. The mesh-like knit structural body (1) is formed from a plurality of vertical direction knit structures (20) that are created by chain-stitch yarns (2) being continuous in the vertical direction and being knitted while forming chain stitches (2A), vertical insertion yarns (5) that are single-stitch inserted in the vertical direction along the chain stitches, and horizontal insertion yarns (3) that are inserted into the vertical direction knit structures in a horizontal direction and bind together neighboring knit structures. The mesh-like fiber-reinforced composite material (10) is a mesh-like fiber-reinforced composite material resulting from impregnating only the knit structures and the vertical and horizontal yarns of the mesh-like knit structural body (1) with a resin (R) and curing the result. Among the chain-stitch yarns and the vertical and horizontal insertion yarns, at least the vertical insertion yarns are configured as carbon fiber strands comprising carbon fibers, and the percentage of open area of the mesh-like knit structural body is configured as 20-60%.
