Abstract:
A photoelectric conversion element which comprises a conductive supporting body, a photosensitive layer that contains an electrolyte, a charge transfer layer that contains an electrolyte, and a counter electrode, and wherein the photosensitive layer contains fine semiconductor particles on which a metal complex dye represented by formula (I) is loaded; a metal complex dye; a dye-adsorbed electrode; a dye solution for producing the dye-adsorbed electrode; and a dye-sensitized solar cell.
M(LD)(LA)(X)mX·(CI)mY (I)
In formula (I), M represents Fe2+, Ru2+ or Os2+; LD represents a ligand represented by formula (DL); LA represents a bidentate or tridentate ligand having a nitrogen-containing aromatic heterocyclic skeleton and at least one acidic group; X represents a monodentate or bidentate ligand; CI represents a counter ion for neutralizing the electrical charge; mX represents an integer of 0-3; and mY represents an integer of 0-2.
In formula (DL), Z represents a ring-forming group; at least one D moiety represents a coordinating atom of an oxygen atom or a nitrogen atom, said coordinating atom having no unsaturated bonding hand; E represents a specific bond; at least one R moiety represents a specific substituent; and each of m and n represents an integer of 1 or more.
