Abstract:
Provided is a metal complex or the like useful for production of a light-emitting element which is inhibited from being degraded for a long period of time. The present invention pertains to: a metal complex represented by formula (1); a composition that contains the metal complex and at least one material selected from the group consisting of hole transportation materials, hole injection materials, electron transportation materials, electron injection materials, light-emitting materials, antioxidants, and solvents; and a light-emitting element containing the metal complex. [In the formula, one of Ya and Yb represents a single bond, and the other represents a group represented by formula (C-1). At least one ring of ring RA, ring RB1, ring RB2, ring RC1, and ring RC2 has a group represented by formula (D-A), formula (D-B), or formula (D-C) as a substituent.]
